Bergen. Fire at the centre, design all around

When a fireplace takes on the primary role of a piece of furniture, it becomes the beating heart of the home. Its presence transforms the space, creating a cosy and refined atmosphere that invites relaxation and conviviality. The flames, with their hypnotic movement and warm light, lend depth and character to rooms, becoming a focal point that combines aesthetics and functionality.

In a contemporary setting, the fireplace evolves into a design feature, blending seamlessly with clean lines, sophisticated materials and open-plan spaces. It is no longer confined to a corner, but often takes centre stage, like a sculptural element that defines the room’s identity. Choosing a decorative fireplace therefore means investing in comfort, style and well-being, elevating the everyday living experience to something more intimate and evocative.

The Panoramic. More than just a fireplace

This model showcases the perfect blend of the technological heart of the gas fireplace, sophisticated design and the tradition of hand-crafted majolica cladding.
It is a pleasure to savour the magic of the flame.
Bergen redefines the relationship between flame and space: this 360° fireplace takes center stage in the living room, becoming a true architectural focal point around which the entire layout of the rooms is organized.
The conical hood in black-painted steel, suspended from the ceiling, complements the base – also conical – which combines two very different materials, steel and majolica, creating a uniquely original feature. The 360° panoramic firebox, protected by glass without any metal frames, allows you to enjoy the flame from every corner of the room, enhancing the sense of warmth and presence.

The interplay between flame and design

The large floor-to-ceiling window transforms the fire into an element in constant dialogue with the outdoors: during the day, natural light enhances the sculptural quality of the metal hood; at sunset, the flame reflected in the glass multiplies into a spectacle of warm light that envelops the entire living room.

In the installation presented here, Bergen effectively demonstrates its ability to blend into — whilst simultaneously dominating — a refined, contemporary open-plan space. The light grey-troweled concrete floor, the large ivory bouclé corner sofa, the dark walnut paneled wall: everything converges towards the fireplace, without any single element appearing to compete for attention.

Bergen’s color palette – Black for the hood and basement, Matt White for the majolica – echoes and amplifies the contrast already present in the interior architecture: the dark solidity of the wood versus the neutral brightness of the plastered surfaces. The fireplace thus becomes the aesthetic traits of the space, embodying a coherent and resolute formal language.

With its gas firebox, this model is particularly well suited to private residences with open-plan layouts, showrooms, contract spaces and reception areas.

The installation was made possible thanks to the collaboration with Duebi Italia of Pesaro, a partner specialized in design and interior furnishings, and a go-to for those wishing to create a unique and personalized style within their home.
